Team india announced for Commonwealth Games 2022!!!

IOA announced a 322-member indian team for the Commonwealth Games 2022. The indian Olympic Association on saturday announced a 322-member squad with 215 players for the upcoming Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The indian contingent also includes 107 officers and support staff. 

Aims to improve gold Cost's performance

Team india will try to improve its performance this time. We have been very strong this moment physically and mentally, despite this we are confident of doing better this time as compared to last season as stated by IOA Secretary General rajeev Mehta.


Some of the prominent names on the team include Olympic medalists Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu, Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, Bajrang Punia, and ravi Kumar Dahiya. Apart from this, the current Commonwealth champion Manika Batra, Vinesh Phogat, as well as 2018 Asian Games gold medalists Tajinderpal Singh Toor, Hima Das, and amit Panghal, are also part of the contingent.


Indian athletes will compete in 15 sports and four para-sports. The crew is predicted to do competently in sports such as boxing, badminton, hockey, weightlifting, women's cricket, and wrestling.

Commonwealth Games will start on July 28

The t20 format of women's cricket has been made a part of these games for the first time. The Commonwealth Games village will officially open for contingents on 23 July and the indian players will stay at five different places.
