IPL 15th Season total Flop..! bcci loses in crores..!?
Statistics show that the 15th season of the IPL has ended in a huge loss. The bcci has planned to hold two new teams, new players, and a mega auction for the current season. Teams like chennai and mumbai became weak due to mega bids. Thus, both teams embraced defeat in the current season. Both teams finished 9th and 10th respectively.
Similarly, the new teams lucknow and gujarat went to the play-offs. But it is now revealed that the fans did not watch the matches played by these teams. TV's TRP red has been released for the final week of the IPL series. The number of spectators for the 15th season final has dropped by 20 to 22 percent compared to the final of the last IPL series.
CSK and kolkata clashed in the final last season. Similarly, the overall TRP of the IPL series has dropped from 25 percent to 28 percent over last year. The IPL series was well received by the fans last year and this time the Star sports which telecasted the game has increased its Ads up to 20 percent, earning up to Rs 4,000 crore.
But, since the TRP did not come up with the money given, no companies will pay that much for advertising anymore. In this case, the auction of licenses for the broadcast of the IPL series has now begun. With this, the bcci expected more than Rs 50,000 crore. But, as the number of viewers for the season ended has dwindled, tv companies will not come forward to pay such a large sum again. This has led to criticism that Jaisha is stuck by taking huge risks.
