BCCI to honor Dhoni..? IPL Final match..!
The closing ceremony of the 15th season of the IPL series is set to take place today at the narendra modi Ground in Ahmedabad. All eyes are on the visit of prime minister Modi and amit Shah. For the first time in the history of cricket, 25 lakh spectators are expected to participate in this tournament.
The bcci has decided not to spend money on the opening and closing ceremonies of the IPL. But now the closing ceremony is being held as part of the federal government's 75th Independence Day celebrations, organized by the BCCI. This is why prime minister Modi is participating in this event.
The closing ceremony will feature 2 Oscar-winning composers AR Rahman, Ranveer Singh, and urvashi Rawadela. It seems that AR rahman has decided to compose songs in a way that speaks to the unity and solidarity of India. Maa Tujhe Salaam and songs praising gujarat culture will also be performed. Hundreds of artists are expected to dance at the event.
The show is scheduled to start at 6.40 pm and last about 40 minutes. The bcci has decided to invite former captains of the indian team to the event including Dhoni.
prime minister Modi is also expected to address the event. It has already been announced that due to the closing ceremony, today's match will be held at 8.00 am instead of 7.30 pm. Security has been beefed up several times since prime minister Modi's participation.
