IPL final match time change..? Protest against BCCI...
The 15th season of the IPL series is ongoing now. The play-off round starts on coming Tuesday. The final match of the IPL series will be played on Sunday, May 29th in Ahmedabad. The bcci plans to hold this final on a grand scale. The match will be played at the narendra modi Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 10 lakh. Famous music composer AR rahman and bollywood actor ranveer singh will be performing. In this situation, the bcci has decided to change the match schedule of the IPL series. As usual, the bcci plans to hold the match at 8 pm next year.
As a first step, the bcci has decided to hold the final of the current season at 8 pm. The BCCI's decision came as a shock to the Star channel and its fans. Already time out all that takes up to four and a half hours for the match which actually ends in three and a half hours.
Fans have lamented that if the match starts at 8 pm, the match will be over by 12.30 pm. Fans have demanded that the match should start at 7 pm and end at 10 pm as it will be difficult for those going to school, college and office the next day.
Similarly, the number of spectators decreases when the competition exceeds ten o'clock. Currently, there are fears that the TRP is likely to slide sharply with this move by the bcci and the number of ads will decline. Similarly, the bcci plans to reduce the number of double-headers from next year to 4 pm instead of 3.30 pm.
