It featured 161 players. ishaan Kishan and deepak chahar were the highest bidders at Rs 15.25 crore and Rs 14 crore respectively in yesterday's auction. Apart from him, some other players were also taken at a high price. The second day of the auction began today.

Maheesh Theekshana, 21, hails from the Colombo area of Sri Lanka. He has been playing in local tournaments there since 2018. He played well in the Lanka Premier League cricket series. Due to this, he was included in the sri lanka national team in 2021. He has played 4 ODIs and 11 T20Is for sri lanka so far. He took 6 wickets in one day and 9 wickets in t20 matches. His special feature is that he is capable of throwing all types of balls including off-spin, leg-spin. This is said to be a bit difficult for the batsmen to predict.
