Big announcement by the priest of Jagannath puri temple!
The jagannath temple in puri, Odisha, is visited by devotees from all over the country and abroad throughout the year. Keeping in mind the needs of the pilgrims, a priest of the temple said on sunday that they are going to build a luxurious resort in Jagannath puri, which will have 300 rooms. In a press conference here, the priest said, this resort to be built on the seashore will be completely pure vegetarian and alcohol-free so that the pilgrims coming here can feel spiritual peace along with modern amenities.
The resort will be built 8 km away from Puri
It is being told that Rs 200 crore will be spent in building this luxury resort. Sevayat Daitapati Bhavani Das said, puri is no longer just a destination, but it is a holy place where divinity meets the sea. This resort will be a combination of spiritual peace and luxury hospitality. The 'Jagannatham' project will cost Rs 110 crore to build. This does not include the cost of purchasing land. This project under Meridian Mist Hotel and Resort will be built on seven acres of land along the Puri-Konark Marine Drive, about 8 km from the jagannath temple in Puri.
The luxurious resort will be ready in 2026
The priest also said, the land is mine and there is no conflict of interest with the Jagannath temple. He said that this resort, which will open in 14-16 months before the 2026 Rath Yatra, is expected to redefine spiritual tourism in puri, which will attract pilgrims as well as other tourists. The priest and his family have 100 percent ownership of the resort, but are also ready to reduce equity based on the response to the project's membership program.
This facility will be available under membership
On membership of Rs 3.5 lakh, Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh, members will get the facility of staying in the resort for three nights every month for five years. The resort aims to add 5,000 members in the initial phase. The resort has many facilities like studio and deluxe cottages, spa, amphitheater, jogging track, tennis court and wellness center.
