Today at 12 noon, a crowd of thousands of devotees gathered at Pontoon Bridge No. 7, during this time a lot of altercation was seen between the police and the crowd.

Devotees appeared angry

According to the devotees, all the bridges going from Jhunsi to Sangam have been closed by the administration. The devotees alleged that the policemen standing on the bridge towards which people are going are asking the devotees to go to the other bridge, which is closed. In this regard, the devotees further told that the policemen present on the pontoon bridge number 7 are appealing to the people to go to bridge number 16. On the other hand, the devotees claimed that all this crowd has come from bridge number 16, which was not being allowed to go from that bridge.

'Police is misleading'

According to the devotees arguing with the police, all these people are standing on the bridge for the last 2 hours and here the police is not allowing them to cross the barricade, while the VIPs are comfortably going from bridge number seven. According to the devotees, they are being misled by sending them from one bridge to another.

The number of devotees crosses 60 crores

Let us tell you, even after all the five bathing festivals have passed, the process of arrival of devotees in maha Kumbh continues. On the 41st day of the beginning of the bathing sequence in Sangam with Paush Purnima, the number of people taking a dip reached 60.74 crores. This number is expected to exceed 65 crores by the last bathing festival of Mahashivratri. Before the start of maha Kumbh, only 40 crore people were expected to come here. maha Kumbh started on 13 january last month at the triveni of Ganga, yamuna and Saraswati, it will continue till 26 February. maha Kumbh will end after the holy bath on Mahashivratri, during this time also a large number of devotees are expected to reach Prayagraj.
