The tirupati Devasthanam informed that it is not possible to reserve VIP break darshan tickets and accommodation. VIP darshan procedures have been restricted after the election code of conduct came into force at tirupati Ezhummalayan temple. Nationwide lok sabha elections, assembly elections, and by-election dates for 5 states including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and odisha have been announced. After the announcement of the election date, the rules of conduct of elections have also come into force.
Accordingly, restrictions have been imposed on the VIP darshan norms of tirumala tirupati Devasthanam devotees. It has been announced that no more letters of recommendation will be accepted for darshan or accommodation at the tirupati Ezhumalayan Temple. It has been informed that only the high-ranking officers who come under the rule category will be given the perquisites according to their posts.
It also said that if VIPs come only they and their families will be allowed. The tirupati Devasthanam said that these procedures will be followed till june when the election Code of Conduct will come into force.
