Reclaiming 60 Acres of Land belonging to Palani Temple after long struggle
After a 40-year court battle, the temple administration has reclaimed land belonging to the palani Dandayuthapani Swamy temple from individuals. Six people from Periyakumarapalaim village in Tirupur district's Tarapuram Pro-Court, coimbatore District Sessions court, chennai High court, and delhi High court have filed a lawsuit seeking ownership of 60 acres of land belonging to the Palanithandayuthapani Swamy temple in Periyakumarapalaim village. On behalf of the palani temple administration, a lawsuit was filed.
In this case, it was determined that the palani temple owned all of the lands. Individuals' occupations on 60 acres of land were removed on this basis, and responsibility for the recovered lands was handed over to Natarajan, Associate Commissioner, palani temple, in the presence of Anita, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Hindu Religious Affairs. Deputy Commissioner Prakash and Assistant Commissioner senthilkumar of the palani temple were also present. Individually owned palani temple property has been reclaimed following a 40-year court battle. The restored land is estimated to be worth roughly Rs 25 crore.
