Alongside the extra coaches, indian Railways has also announced a massive holi special train plan, with over 1,200 special train trips operating between 25 February and 18 March 2026 — covering major routes to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, maharashtra and more.

These include regular special services and standalone holi specials that run weekly or daily to help passengers avoid long waits and reach home in time for the festival.
