Special Camp Held in Chennai Today for Voter List Corrections

A special camp for making corrections and updates to the electoral roll is being conducted today across chennai district, according to official sources. The initiative aims to help eligible voters rectify errors and update personal details in the voter list ahead of upcoming electoral processes.

The special camp is being organized at 4,079 polling booth centers across the chennai district. Citizens can visit their respective polling stations to submit applications for voter-related services, including correction of name, age, address, photograph, and other personal details in the electoral roll.

In addition to corrections, the camp also facilitates new voter registration, inclusion of eligible voters who have recently attained the age of 18, deletion of names due to death or relocation, and transfer of voter details for those who have changed their place of residence.

Election officials have urged residents to make use of this opportunity to ensure that their details are accurate and up to date. Proper documentation such as Aadhaar card, proof of address, age proof, and recent photographs may be required for processing applications.

Authorities emphadata-sized that maintaining an accurate voter list is essential for conducting free and fair elections and encouraged maximum public participation in the special camp.
