EPFO: Forgot Your PF Number? How to Find Your 15-Year-Old PF Account Details

2. Check Through the UMANG App

  • Download UMANG → Select EPFO Services → View Passbook.
  • Login with your UAN or register using your Aadhaar/phone number.
  • You can see contributions and check old PF accounts.
3. Use SMS or Missed Call Services

If your mobile number is linked with EPFO, you can check balances:

  • SMS: Type EPFOHO UAN and send it to 7738299899.
  • Missed Call: Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered number.
  • You’ll get your PF balance and account details via SMS.
4. Contact Your Previous Employer

If you don’t remember your UAN or registered mobile number, you can:

Contact the HR or accounts department of your previous employer.

They can provide your old PF account number and UAN, which can then be used to access the balance online.

5. Raise a Grievance with EPFO

If all else fails, you can file a grievance:

  • Visit the EPFO Grievance Portal: https://epfigms.gov.in/
  • Provide your personal details, previous employer details, and approximate dates of employment.
  • EPFO will help trace your old PF account.
