📅 PM Kisan Yojana 22nd Installment — Expected Release & What You Must Do

Kokila Chokkanathan
Millions of farmers across india are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment worth 2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM‑Kisan) Yojana, a major government income support scheme.

🔔 When Will the 22nd Installment Be Released?

📌 The 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana is expected to be released in february 2026, based on the pattern of previous payments, though no official date has been announced yet by the government.

Under the PM‑Kisan scheme, farmers receive 6,000 per year in three equal installments of 2,000, transferred directly to their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

· The 21st installment was credited to beneficiaries’ accounts in November 2025.

· Therefore, the 22nd installment — the first payment of the 2026 cycle — is likely to arrive in February or early march 2026.

Experts also suggest that the second or third week of February could be targeted for release, possibly around the Budget session of Parliament, although the government has not confirmed any date yet.

Essential Requirements to Receive the Payment

To ensure that you receive the 22nd installment without delay or rejection, the government expects farmers to complete several mandatory procedures:

🟢 1. Complete e‑KYC

· All beneficiaries must complete e‑KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) on the official PM‑Kisan portal.

· Without e‑KYC, your payment may be withheld.

🟢 2. Link Aadhaar with bank Account

· Your Aadhaar number must be correctly linked to the bank account registered with the scheme.

· This ensures direct fund transfer via DBT.

🟢 3. Farmer ID / Land Records (New Rule)

· The government now requires every beneficiary to have a unique “Farmer ID”, which links land, crop, and personal data.

· This Farmer ID helps ensure continuity of benefits under PM‑Kisan going forward.

· Completing e‑KYC and creating a Farmer ID is now essential to avoid payment blockage.

🟢 4. Land Verification

· Some reports state that land verification may also be required, particularly if your farm records are not updated.

· Keeping land records and ownership details current helps prevent payment issues.

📌 How to Check Your Status

You can track the release of the installment and your beneficiary status by visiting the official PM‑Kisan portal and using the “Know Your Status” feature.

🧑‍🌾 Final Tip for Farmers

To avoid any disruption in receiving the ₹2,000 installment — and future payments — complete your e‑KYC, ensure Aadhaar‑bank linkage, and register for a Farmer ID well before the expected release date.
