Rajnath Singh Slams Rahul Gandhi on Army Remarks ..?
Singh accused gandhi of attempting to divide the armed forces along caste lines and create anarchy.
The minister stressed that bringing caste politics into the army is unacceptable.
Army Beyond Caste and Religion
Singh stated that soldiers follow “sainya dharma” (soldier’s duty), which transcends caste, religion, and community.
He emphadata-sized that the army has no other faith apart from its duty to the nation.
“Whenever india data-faces a crisis, our soldiers uphold the nation’s honor with bravery,” Singh added.
On Reservations and Caste Politics
Singh clarified that while the bjp supports reservations for the poor, such policies should not be applied to the armed forces.
He accused gandhi of discriminating based on caste, sect, and religion.
Singh argued that caste and religion-based politics have harmed the country, advocating instead for uplifting every section of society without discrimination.
BJP Leaders Join the Criticism
Delhi cm Rekha Gupta called Gandhi’s remarks “a matter of great shame”.
Gupta accused congress of dragging the army into caste politics, noting their history of caste-based politics.
She also criticized Gandhi’s frequent foreign trips, saying those who speak ill of india or question the army should feel ashamed.
Rahul Gandhi’s Allegation
Gandhi, campaigning in Aurangabad, Bihar, claimed that the army, corporate sector, bureaucracy, and judiciary are dominated by “just 10 per cent of the population”.
He said the remaining 90 per cent — backward classes, Dalits, scheduled tribes, and minorities — are underrepresented in these sectors.
Political Fallout
The remarks sparked a row between the bjp and congress, with bjp leaders asserting that politicizing the army undermines national unity.
Singh and other bjp leaders positioned themselves as defenders of the Army’s neutrality and integrity.
