He has written a letter to the chief minister demanding that the names of all schools and colleges in maharashtra should be written in Marathi language on the main gate. amit thackeray has submitted a memorandum to chief minister devendra fadnavis, school education minister Dada Bhuse and Higher and Technical education minister chandrakant patil and other officials. In this, he has said that Marathi language has got the status of an elite language, so now the time has come for the government to take concrete steps in this direction.

In the memorandum, amit thackeray has also mentioned that the nameplates of all educational institutions across the state should be installed in Marathi and in proper data-size at the entrance of schools and colleges, so that Marathi language can get its identity and respect.
