The opposition asked the government questions on the issue of increasing the amount of Ladki Bahin Yojana to Rs 2,100 as per the election promise of the Mahayuti government. On this, minister Aditi Tatkare said that this promise will be fulfilled, but the time limit is not fixed, because the period for implementing the manifesto is for five years.

Currently, Rs 1,500 per month is given to economically weaker women under this scheme. He said that cm devendra fadnavis never said that the announcement of giving Rs 2,100 under the election promise would be made in this year's budget (to be presented on march 10) or the current budget session (to run till march 26).

Congress leader Satej Patil accused the government of cheating the beneficiaries of this scheme by declaring them ineligible. Aditi Tatkare said that under this scheme, the installments of february and march will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on the occasion of international Women's Day on march 8. Presenting the figures, he said that 1.59 crore women had benefited from this scheme in August, which increased to 2.20 crore in September, 2.33 crore in october and 2.45 crore in December. On march 8, money will be sent to 2.52 crore women through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
