The Crime Branch of delhi police has arrested the kingpin of the Mukhiya gang. The kingpin has been identified as ram Ashish alias Karan. karan was dodging the police since 2017. delhi, Gurugram, chennai and hyderabad police were looking for the kingpin of the Mukhiya gang. The accused used to abscond after coming out on bail. police said that karan is originally from Madhubani in Bihar. He has committed five criminal incidents in four states.

On march 4, information was received that karan was going to come to Mohan Garden in Dwarka. On the information, the police laid a trap and caught the cunning criminal. Seeing the police, the miscreant tried to run away. The Crime Branch team foiled the miscreant's attempt. police said that the members of the Mukhiya gang used to target people by posing as servants or helpers in homes. karan, along with his accomplices, had drugged the mistress and stolen cash and jewelry. The activities of Mukhiya gang were exposed in Rohini, Rajouri Garden, Gurugram, chennai and Hyderabad.

Mukhiya gang leader arrested

police said that Mukhiya gang leader karan has a long criminal history. He had studied till 10th standard. Between 2006 and 2011, karan was the caretaker of a coaching institute in Mumbai. Later he moved to Delhi. He worked for two years in a call center in Munirka and KFC in Vasant Kunj. During this time, he met rahul, a person from the village. rahul explained the plan of theft to Karan.

The network of thieves spread across the country

They carried out the theft incident for the first time in rohini in 2014. After that, they set up a network of thieves gang through servants and domestic helpers across the country. The accused, along with his accomplices, stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 40-50 lakh in Chennai. In hyderabad too, members of the Mukhiya gang stole jewellery and cash worth Rs 1 crore from a house. In Gurugram, the kingpin along with his gang made away with cash and jewellery worth about Rs 1 crore. police said that after being released from Tihar jail, the kingpin of the Mukhiya gang had come to hyderabad to commit burglary.
