On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, a large number of devotees from all over the country had reached Sangam to take a dip. During this, a stampede broke out on the morning of 29 January. 30 devotees died in this accident. While 36 injured are undergoing treatment. In this accident, a woman from Udham Singh nagar district of uttarakhand died. When the family got the news of her death, there was chaos.
In fact, more than 200 devotees left for Prayagraj on the evening of 27 january through three buses from Kichha area of Udham Singh nagar district. On wednesday morning, a stampede broke out when the barrier broke. Guddi Devi, wife of Khempal, a resident of Kichha in the district, died in this accident.
The information about this accident was given to the family by Raju Koli, the younger son of the deceased Guddi Devi. As soon as the information about the accident was received, there was chaos in the family. Hearing the news of Guddi Devi's death in the Mahakumbh stampede, many people including Kichha mla Tilak raj Behad, former mla Rajesh Shukla reached the house of the deceased and expressed condolences.
The deceased woman's son Rinku Koli said that on january 27, my mother went to the Mahakumbh bath with younger brother Raju Koli and his wife. Today at seven in the morning, my younger brother Raju Koli called and said that mother died during the stampede, while many others are also missing. No information is available about them. Rinku Koli told that brother is coming to Kichha from Prayagraj with mother's body. He is expected to reach Kichha by late night. After which the last rites will be performed tomorrow morning.
