Former chief minister of delhi and National Convenor of aam aadmi party (AAP) arvind kejriwal today addressed a public meeting held in Shalimar Bagh. This was the second of the three public meetings held by him in a day, which saw a huge crowd. In his speech, he raised questions on the development work of delhi and the policies of BJP.
1. Power situation:
kejriwal said that the power supply in delhi has improved now, and people do not use generators. He also alleged that during the congress government, there used to be power cuts for 10 hours, whereas today delhi is getting the cheapest electricity. He also said that if people support bjp, power cuts will start again.
2. education issue
kejriwal criticized the bjp for planning to charge fees in government schools. He said that bjp leaders are openly announcing that they will charge fees in government schools, which will be harmful for the children of the poor. He also pointed to the improvement in government schools in delhi, where there has been a significant improvement in the quality of education.
3. Mohalla Clinic
Referring to Mohalla Clinics, arvind kejriwal said that Vandana had set up 8 Mohalla Clinics, where treatment and tests are absolutely free. He alleged that if bjp comes to power, it will shut down these Mohalla Clinics, which will be dangerous for the poor.
4. Water Supply
kejriwal mentioned his government's achievements regarding water bills. He said that he had implemented a scheme to provide free water to Delhiites, but bjp filed a false case against him and sent him to jail. He promised that after the elections, those who have received wrong bills will be forgiven.
