Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on monday transferred an amount of Rs 2500 each as the december installment under the 'Maiyaan Samman Yojana' to the bank accounts of more than 56 lakh women of the state. On this occasion, a grand program was organized at Namkum Khojatoli Ground in Ranchi, in which about two lakh women from all over the state were present. Addressing the women, cm Soren said, "This amount is a big step towards making you financially self-reliant. Today we are very happy to fulfill the resolution that our government had taken before the elections.''

More than Rs 1,415 crore sent to 56 lakh accounts

cm Soren transferred a total amount of Rs 1,415 crore 44 lakh 77 thousand 500 to the bank accounts of a total of 56 lakh 61 thousand 791 women of the state by pressing the remote button. When this scheme was started five months ago, women were being given Rs 1,000 per month, but just before the announcement of the elections, the government had approved increasing this amount to 2500 in the cabinet.

Answered the questions of the opponents

Hemant Soren said that the concept of all-round development of the country and the state cannot be realized until women and men walk shoulder to shoulder together. Keeping this in mind, we have taken this step to bring women forward. Our previous governments talked a lot about women empowerment, but did not take any concrete steps. When we started giving women a sum of Rs 1,000 per month, we were ridiculed. When we promised to increase this amount to Rs 2,500, the opposition also spread propaganda about it. They raised the question that from where will the government get so much money? Today we have given them the answer.

The amount should be used to eliminate malnutrition

Soren targeted the opposition and said that we are not like those who go back on their promises or mislead people by lying. He appealed to women to participate in the development of the state and said that your small savings will make the future of children better. women can use the amount of 'Maiyaan Samman' to eliminate malnutrition of themselves and their children.
