Is the whole of Sambhal settled on Waqf land?
After the controversy that started in sambhal over Shahi Jama Masjid and then the incident of violence, new revelations are being made every day. To maintain peace, a police post is being constructed in front of Shahi Jama Masjid, about which it is being claimed that this land belongs to Waqf.
A shocking revelation has been made in the investigation regarding this. After examining the documents of the claims of Waqf land, it has been revealed that in the year 1929, land of more area than the whole of sambhal was Waqfed on a stamp of 50 rupees. According to the Waqf documents submitted to the district administration, on 23 august 1929, a person named Abdul Samad had Waqfed a total of 20 properties of Sambhal. This document was given to the sambhal administration as Waqf.
Kotwali on Waqf land
In the investigation of the alleged Waqfnama, it was claimed that more than 4 square kilometers of land in sambhal was Waqf in the year 1929. Whereas the entire population of sambhal is settled in just 4 square kilometers. The investigation also revealed that in the documents given to the sambhal administration, the Kotwali of sambhal built in 1905 was also shown on Waqf land.
According to the documents, 4 bighas of land from Kot Mohalla to Salimpur in sambhal was allegedly Waqf in 1929. The investigation of the sambhal administration has revealed that hundreds of people have houses in this area, as well as religious places are also present. Apart from this, in the documents submitted to the administration, 48 bighas of land from Shayron Sarai to Alam Sarai has also been shown as Waqf property.
Waqf property is not registered
According to sambhal district Officer Dr. Rajendra Pansia, in the investigation of the documents given to the administration, more than 4 square kilometer area of land was shown as Waqf. This includes Sambhal's police station, post office and religious places. However, during the investigation it was also found that this Waqfnama is not registered.
