PTI reported that JSW Steel Managing director Sajjan Jindal and his family attended the wedding ceremony of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, grandson of former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Around 700 guests from pakistan and abroad attended the wedding ceremony held at the palatial residence of the Nawaz Sharif family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Sajjan Jindal and his family were also present, PTI reported. A senior leader of the ruling pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party confirmed that many indian guests attended the wedding, including the Jindal family.
The Jindal family has strong ties with the Sharif family and it had reportedly helped Nawaz Sharif's son Hussain Nawaz set up a steel mill in the Gulf.
 The Jindal family and Nawaz Sharif's family have a long-standing relationship, with the Jindal family reportedly helping Nawaz Sharif's son Hussain Nawaz set up a steel plant in the gulf region. The Nawaz Sharif family kept the presence of the Jindal family, especially the Jindal family, a closely guarded secret, although many indians attended the ceremony. The indian guests are believed to have flown to Lahore by private jet. The entire wedding ceremony took place at the jati Umra residence and the surrounding areas amid tight police security.
