The Labor Department has sent all the workers who reached jharkhand home. In a statement issued by the Chief Minister's secretariat on Sunday, it was said that efforts are on to bring back the remaining 36 workers.
According to a PTI report, the state government has registered an FIR against a Mumbai-based company and some middlemen. It was alleged that 47 workers of jharkhand stranded in cameroon were not paid wages. Earlier this month, the Labor Commissioner had lodged an FIR against middlemen and employers in Hazaribagh, Bokaro and Giridih. The workers had raised the issue of not getting wages for three months with chief minister Hemant Soren. The statement said that the state government has started the process of paying the dues of the workers.
Return of workers stranded in African cameroon begins

It is alleged that the employers and middlemen had sent the workers to cameroon against the rules. The workers had complained to the chief minister about not getting salary for three months. After the matter came to light, the State Migrant Control Room contacted the workers and employers.
The statement said that efforts are on to bring back the remaining 36 workers from Cameroon. The Ministry of External Affairs has been informed about the matter. It is alleged that 47 workers were sent to cameroon without registration and license. With the efforts of the state government, the process of bringing back the workers has been started.
