Reportedly an interesting verbal battle was witnessed between Samajwadi party mla Om Prakash Singh and electricity minister AK Sharma in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, when the SP mla tried to corner him on the issue of electricity and meters. In response, AK Sharma said that he should not do Manthra's work between him and cm Yogi Adityanath, because he is the leader who goes to delhi the least and whatever he does, he does with the blessings of the Chief Minister. In fact, SP mla from Ghazipur's Zamania seat, Om Prakash, while targeting minister AK Sharma on electricity, had said that he is from above, you will know when you contest elections with the public. Talk to the chief minister and do some good work. We understand that your advocacy is from somewhere else. He was pointing towards prime minister Narendra Modi.

Perhaps in response to this statement of SP mla, AK Sharma said, "He does not know that I am among the leaders who visit delhi the least, the honorable chief minister is witness to this. This 'Manthra' type of work should not be done between us and the chief minister because whatever work we do, we do it on the instructions of the honorable Chief Minister. We do it under his guidance. Whatever I will say or do, it will not come out of my mouth unless it has the order and instruction of the CM. You can be assured of this."

Moreover AK Sharma also took a dig at the SP mla during this time and said that Om Prakash ji says that he does not drink but I know that he remains intoxicated. Because there is another arrangement for intoxication in Ghazipur, a natural product is available there, due to which he remains intoxicated. When AK Sharma was giving this statement in the SP House, cm Yogi sitting in front of him was also smiling.
