SP leader Azam Khan accused of occupying Farmers Land
Reportedly Azam Khan, who was a cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, has got immediate relief in 27 cases going on against him. The court has accepted one of his petitions in which the demand to run the trial of all 27 cases together has been approved. Accepting Azam Khan's revision application, the Sessions court gave direction to the Magistrate Trial court MPMLA. There will be a joint trial in the Magistrate Trial court in all the 27 cases filed by the farmers regarding land grabbing. An application was given by Azam Khan in the MPMLA Magistrate Trial court to merge all the 27 cases. However, the Magistrate Trial court rejected the application then. Later, a revision petition was filed in the Sessions court on behalf of Azam Khan against the order of the Magistrate Trial Court.
Perhaps now the Sessions court accepted the revision application and directed the Magistrate Trial Court. The session court said that all the cases are treated separately, so joint trial is possible but hearing and judgment will be separate. In the year 2019, 27 cases of land grabbing by farmers were registered in Azim nagar police station. Now the magistrate trial in this case will be heard in the MPMLA court.
Moreover these cases were filed by the farmers in Jauhar university and a monitoring petition was filed in the court for their simultaneous hearing. In these cases, allegations have been made related to the construction work of Jauhar university, land acquisition and other issues. Azam Khan was accused of occupying the land of farmers. When the matter was investigated, he was also accused of occupying government land. In this case, a case was registered by the revenue administration. After this, 26 farmers had filed a case against Azam Khan in Azim nagar police station. Earlier on august 28, Azam Khan got a big relief from the MP-MLA court in another case.
