DM Mangala prasad Singh, who had come for a surprise inspection of the ongoing drain construction by nagar Palika in Awas Vikas located on Radoi Kengheta Road, suddenly got angry after seeing the negligence of the contractor in the quality of work. After which he took a class of the EO and engineer of the nagar Palika present there. He also gave instructions to improve the quality of work. Along with this he said that we will drown you in this drain and you will get better. In fact, even after more than two months, the construction of the drain could not be done in Awas Vikas Colony located on Nagheta Road in Hardoi. Whereas this drain should have been constructed in 60 days. Due to lack of drainage, water from the houses started accumulating on the main roads, on getting the information of which, DM Hardoi Mangala prasad Singh suddenly reached to see the construction work.

DM scolded the contractor after seeing the condition of the lids.

Looking at the stone lids on the newly constructed drains, he called the contractor and said, "Some of these lids are small and some are big. Couldn't you match them properly? Look, this lid is open. Do you people put such lids? How would you feel if they are put in front of your house?" When DM moved ahead, he saw that the lids on the drain in front of a house were open. When DM asked the EO of nagar Palika why the lids were not put, the nagar Palika engineer said, "The owner of the house has refused to do so." DM said, "When he refused, he agreed. Will the drain remain open like this in front of someone's house? Get it covered and let them say so."

DM said angrily, "I will drown you in this drain." Showing the drain to the contractor and the engineer, he said, "Out of all the drain lids, not even one of your lids is correct. If the lids are put in this manner and the quality of the work is affected, action will be taken." Suddenly, angrily, DM looked at the engineer and said, "Did you check all the lids that are put in place like this?" You are an engineer, it will be installed like this. This is how the work will be done. See, even one cover looks fine. The engineer said there is a problem sir, then the DM said if there is a problem then what do you people see. It would have taken half an hour to come and see and tell, if he agreed then it is fine, otherwise the next day a notice was given. You submit your report, then I will tell you, I will drown them in this drain, these people will be fine. They are installing such poor quality.
