On monday (December 9, 2024), vikram Misri visited bangladesh, where he expressed India's concern about the attack on minorities in front of Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus and Foreign Secretary Mohammad Jasimuddin. A day after this, 70 people have been arrested in 88 cases registered regarding the attacks.According to The Daily Star, Mohammad Yunus's press secretary ShafikulAlam said that this action has been taken regarding the violent incidents that took place between august 5 and october 22. He also said that information will be given soon about the cases after october 22. Shafikul Alam said that those who commit such violence and heinous acts in bangladesh will not be spared, everyone will be punished. When Shafiqul Alam was asked whether those detained included people associated with political parties, he said, 'No one has been arrested on political identity. Whoever was suspected or accused has been arrested. However, 88 cases have been registered regarding attacks on minorities andit was found that most of the cases were those in which members of the previous ruling party had to data-face violence. In such a situation, how will it be known whether they had to data-face violence because of their religion or violence was committed against them because they were workers of the previous government.'The Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Oikya Parishad said that there were 2,010 attacks on minorities in bangladesh between august 4 and august 20. On these figures of the council, Shafiqul Alam, citing Sweden's Netra News, said that this report says that every attack in bangladesh happened due to political or personal reasons, no one was made a victim of violence because he belongs to the minority community.
