What are the demands put forth by farmers?

Reportedly farmers from all over the country have come out on the streets with their demands, the farmers are ready to fight a do-or-die battle with the government to get their demands fulfilled. Farmers from all over the country have gathered in Greater noida today with their demands, the farmers will show their strength to the government through the Mahapanchayat. The protest is being held under the banner of many farmer-led organizations including Samyukta Kisan Morcha, Bharatiya Kisan Parishad and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM). This protest of farmers has received support from political parties apart from farmer leaders. The farmers of noida and Greater noida who protested in Greater noida for their demands have five major demands, which the farmers want to convey to the government through the Mahapanchayat. The main 5 demands of the farmers are as follows.

(01)- 64% compensation

(02)- 10% developed plot

(03)- Disposal of Awadi

(04)- Map policy amendment

(05)- Development of village (because after the end of panchayat i.e. Pradhani in villages, the responsibility of development of villages lies with the authority) Uttar Pradesh's leading political party Samajwadi party has also supported the farmers' protest.

Meanwhile Samajwadi Party's gautam Buddha nagar district President Sudhir Bhati also reached the Mahapanchayat. congress and BSP have also supported the farmers. Farmers have announced to sit on a dharna on 4 december at Mahamaya flyover in Noida. A Mahapanchayat is also to be held today on the arrest of farmers.

Moreover Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait had announced all the farmers to reach the zero point of yamuna Expressway. In view of security, 5 thousand security personnel were deployed, which includes police, PAC and paramilitary forces. After the arrest of the farmers, a Mahapanchayat has been called. Farmers from Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Aligarh, and gautam Buddha nagar will attend this Mahapanchayat. The next strategy will be discussed in the Panchayat.
