Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat gave a speech on vijayadashami on saturday (October 12, 2024), on which politics has heated up in the country. rajya sabha mp kapil sibal has taken a dig at his statement. He took a dig at the emphasis on social, cultural harmony in the vijayadashami speech of chief Mohan Bhagwat.

rajya sabha mp kapil sibal posted on instagram and said, "Mohan Bhagwat's message on Vijayadashami. There should be friends among all kinds of people. Languages can be diverse, cultures can be diverse, food can be diverse but friendship will bring them together. Who is listening to him? Modi? Anyone else?"

What did the RSS chief say?

While addressing the dussehra program organized in Nagpur, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat remembered the great personalities who contributed to social development. He mentioned Ahilyabai Holkar and Dayanand Saraswati and said that these people have left a deep mark in the lives of all of us by making their invaluable contribution to the development of society, which is an ideal for us. Now it is our basic duty to convey their ideals to the coming generation. Bhagwat said, "For social harmony and unity, it is necessary to have friendship between individuals and families, rising above caste and religion."

Kharge targeted Bhagwat

Earlier, congress National President mallikarjun Kharge said on Mohan Bhagwat's speech that RSS supports the party which wants division in the country. He said, "No country should commit atrocities. Just as we protect the minorities, they also have a responsibility. If they do not do this, it is not good. Those who do this are the ones who are dividing, Bhagwat himself supports the party which wants disunity. You talk about the constitution, you talk about reservation. And now you are teaching wisdom to others."
