With only a couple of weeks left for polling for haryana assembly elections, the congress party has strategically sidelined Kumari Selja, a prominent Dalit leader. Out of 90 seats in haryana, congress is contesting 89 seats with 72 candidates loyal to Bhupendra Singh Hooda. In contrast, only nine candidates close to Kumari Selja made it to the list. This disparity underscores the marginalization of Dalit leaders within the party.

Kumari Selja's status in the haryana congress today reflects her marginalization by the Hooda camp. She supported vidya Rani Danoda from Narwana and Himmat Singh from Ambala City for tickets.
