MP engineer Rashid came out… 'The party whose...'?
NIA's special court granted interim bail to Baramulla mp Sheikh Rashid alias engineer Rashid in the terror funding case. After being released from Tihar today (September 11), engineer Rashid spoke to the media and said that he would never support BJP. Rashid also responded to the allegations of mehbooba mufti and omar abdullah who called him a proxy of BJP.
engineer Rashid said, "The votes I got in the lok sabha elections were a referendum of the people against the policies of the Modi government. Especially the vote was against the removal of Article 370. I will fight against Modi ji's narrative of Naya kashmir which has failed miserably. people have rejected his narrative. We tell Modiji not to scare us, we are not going to be scared.''
On the allegations of omar abdullah and mehbooba mufti, the Baramulla mp said, ''My fight is bigger than Omar Abdullah's. He is fighting for his father's chair and I am fighting for the public. A man was dying in jail for five and a half years and a man was hiding like a cat in the streets of london and Gulmarg. Today he has come out for votes. The public had given him an answer on june 4 when he lost by more than 2 lakh votes and mehbooba mufti also lost. I am an agent of my people.''

On the question of supporting bjp, engineer Rashid said, ''I am a victim of BJP. How are you saying that I will support. I will fight against Modi ji's policy till my last breath. His new kashmir is nowhere. Votes have been cast against Modi ji in Kashmir. Earlier people used to talk peacefully, then social media was banned. Then they felt that they have to respond by casting their vote. They did not cast their vote out of love, but to tell what they want. My message is that I have come to unite you, not to break you. I am ready to make sacrifices.
