CDS General Bipin Rawat's dream project!!!Creating a theater command in india is considered to be the dream project of the country's first CDS General Bipin Rawat. In 2019, General Bipin Rawat first started working on the theater command project. But unfortunately, he died in a helicopter crash on 8 december 2021. The post of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) was created to start the plan to create a theater command and the Department of Defense Military Affairs (DMA) was also created. Apart from this, the bjp had also said in its manifesto during the lok sabha elections that they would create a theater command for the army, so that the army could work more effectively.How will the theater command plan work?There are currently 17 different commands in india, out of which seven each for the army and the air Force and three for the Navy. There is no coordination in working between these commands. That is why these commands will be replaced and three new theater commands will be created. These new theater commands will be created to make the army, Navy and air Force work together. In this way, the security of every region can be taken care of from one place.According to the Economic Times, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan has prepared a new blueprint. Under this, the indian army will be divided into three different areas. Northern theater Command, Western theater Command and Maritime theater Command. The Northern theater Command will focus on china and its headquarters will be in Lucknow. The Western theater Command will focus on pakistan and its headquarters will be in Jaipur. Similarly, the focus of the Maritime theater Command will be on the threats coming from the indian Ocean region and its headquarters can be in Thiruvananthapuram.
