The election for 12 members of delhi Municipal Corporation ward committees and standing committee was concluded peacefully on 4 september 2024 despite the clash between the Mayor and NG. The total number of members in the Standing Committee of MCD is 18. Out of 18 members, 12 are elected from the 12 zones of MCD. While the remaining six are elected from the House. In this sense, 17 out of 18 members have been elected in the Standing Committee. Out of 17, nine members are from bjp and eight members are from Aam Aadmi Party. In this sense, the power game in the Standing Committee has now come in favor of BJP.
