Economic Survey shows that our economy is healthy...

Today is a big day for India. The day of the Union Budget. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first full-time budget of Modi 3.0 today, i.e. on Tuesday, July 23. By the time you are reading this article, the formalities might have already begun, but here we will talk about the Economic Survey. The Economic survey, by presenting which the government gives a rough idea of the direction in which the budget will go, Economic Survey means the year-long account of the government, the account book, that is, the foundation on which the budget building is built.

There should be no politics on the Economic Survey

The Economic survey is basically a non-political document, in which the government presents its account. It tells how its performance has been in the past and on the basis of this, it can be estimated what the economic situation is. It is a completely non-controversial document. Therefore, if there is any political comment on the Economic survey, then it is not justified. As far as the Economic survey is concerned, it talks about three issues. First, our economic condition is comparatively very good. Our output growth has been good, employment is also not at a worrying level. As far as this government is concerned, the reforms that it has done and the pace of investment in infrastructure development, due to the reforms we are seeing a rush there, the private sector is also walking shoulder to shoulder. Now private investment is also gaining momentum. Overall, the situation is fine, although the government has also talked about many challenges.

Employment is an issue

If we are talking about Amritkaal in 2047, then those issues should be discussed in the budget. Especially, the issue of employment. This is a very important part of any economy. For the first time, the government has probably accepted that employment is not an issue here only because people are not getting work, but people are not capable of work. That is why so much emphasis is being laid on Skill India. We are not able to make our people employable, and that is why the government is putting a lot of emphasis on skill development and educational training, constantly saying that the private sector will also have to pay attention to this. The second issue is the development of MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises). This is the biggest employment providing sector in the indian economy. Three-fourths of the employment in the non-agricultural sector is from MSME. The problem in this is that historically we have licensing, government structure and a web due to which it is not able to develop. The government will try to bring some reforms in this sector. A separate chapter has also been given on this in the Economic Survey...so it should be believed that the government is keeping a special eye on this.
