Budget 2024: polavaram project fund Allocation..!?

But looking at the polavaram issue, it should be noted here that the center has given only 15 thousand 147 crore rupees in the last ten years. These are also the figures officially announced by the Centre. It is also reimbursed by the Center after spending before the State Government. However, in the budget presented by the Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the financial year 2024-25, the state government will provide necessary support for the speedy completion of Polavaram.
If we look at what has been given to polavaram in ten years, it is one-fourth of the old estimates. He said that after Chandrababu became CM, the expectations of polavaram increased again. It is also said that it could be up to seventy thousand crore rupees. And if polavaram is to be completed at the earliest, the Center should generously give at least twenty thousand crores of rupees every year. It is said that if the state spends the cost and then gives it under reimbursement, it will be a waste and the funds will not arrive on time.In the case of polavaram, the biggest cost will have to be spent on the resettlement of the displaced. That would be seventy percent of the total cost. It would have been better if the Center had clearly said that they would provide the full funds in the case of polavaram, including the package for the refugees. Apart from that, if polavaram is said to be a guarantee for early completion, there will be doubts as to how long it will be completed. In the case of polavaram, a deadline should be set and it should be completed on a war footing. The Center should undertake to complete it at least three years from now. Apart from that, they say that there is ambiguity in helping to complete Polavaram. polavaram is actually a national project. bjp has been in power at the center for ten years. It has to be completed somehow. It is said that the differences are coming in the case of the resettlement package of the expatriates. Not only that, there are also reports that the Center is thinking of sticking to the expectations of 2014. The new government in ap wants to make fresh estimates and send them to the center. That amount will only increase and not decrease. Therefore, everyone wants a clear statement about Polavaram. It is true that India's food security will be assured if polavaram is completed, said the Union Finance Minister.
In this regard, they say that it would be better if a clear announcement is made, as they have said that 15 thousand funds will be given to amaravati in this financial year. In the current situation, the state government has incurred the expenses on its own and has not taken reimbursement from the center. How much the state wants to invest will not exceed five thousand crores. If they think like that, there is no chance of completion of polavaram even after another decade. They say that it is to be seen what kind of clarification the Center will give in this regard. It is also said that the center can be considered as a boon in the case of Polavaram.
