Addressing the rajya sabha amid heavy applause from the opposition, prime minister Modi said that only one-third of the term has been completedand two-thirds of it is still to be done.

Prime minister Narendra Modi addressed a motion of thanks to the President's address in the Rajya Sabha. At that time, he said that a single party had come to power for the third time after about 60 years in independent India. He said that this is not normal and some people are deliberately trying to obscure the decision given by the people.

Stating that 10 years of rule have just ended and 20 more years are left, prime minister Modi promised that the next 5 years will be a decisive fight against poverty.

Earlier, the members of the opposition party took action, accusing the leaders of the opposition party of not allowing them to speak. However, prime minister Modi delivered his address amidst the slogans of the opposition parties. The members of the opposition parties ignored the speech of prime minister Modi in the state assembly and walked out. Continuing his speech, PM Modi said that the country is witnessing that those who spread lies have no power to listen to the truth.
