M.K. Stalin's letter to PM Modi and 8 state chief ministers..


Chief minister Stalin, who has written to prime minister Modi urging him to make appropriate changes in the National Medical Commission Act in order to cancel the NEET exam, has written to the Chief Ministers of eight states asking them to consider passing a resolution in the assembly demanding the cancellation of the NEET exam like tamil Nadu.


In a letter written by the chief minister of tamil Nadu to the prime minister, he reiterated his continuous demand to exempt tamil Nadu from the NEET examination for admission to medical colleges and to cancel this examination system at the national level.

Chief minister M.K.Stalin said that admission to vocational courses should be based on 12th-class marks only and admission should not be based on a separate entrance exam.


He also mentioned that this examination system will cause unnecessary stress to the students in tamil Nadu. In the letter, he regretfully mentioned that the bill to exempt tamil Nadu from the NEET examination and to conduct admission of medical students on the basis of 12th-class marks is pending in the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly and has already been sent for the President's approval.


The chief minister has said that NEET malpractices have taken place recently in order to confirm what tamil Nadu has said, and in consideration of all these, the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly has unanimously passed a resolution urging the central government to cancel the NEET exam, and has also urged the prime minister to make appropriate changes in the National Medical Commission Act.


Similarly, a letter written by the chief minister of tamil Nadu to the Chief Ministers of Delhi, Himachal, Jharkhand, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, Punjab, and karnataka states that the recent NEET malpractices have revealed its weakness.
