Bangladeshis have voted using fake passports in lok sabha elections. Now maharashtra ATS has taken a big action in this case. ATS has arrested four people so far. maharashtra ATS has reached Mazgaon court in mumbai with all the four arrested accused. Farooq Sheikh has been sent to police custody till june 14. The rest of the accused have been sent to jail custody. Investigation has revealed that all these Bangladeshi citizens used to make fake passports while living in Gujarat, using which some people are also working abroad.

The name of the accused arrested in this case is Riyaz Hussain Sheikh who is 33 years old. He works as an electrician and is a resident of Yamunanagar, Millatnagar, Lokhandwala, Andheri (W). Investigation revealed that he is a resident of Hridaynagar, Thane- Basirhat, district Noakhali, Bangladesh. The second accused is sultan Siddique Sheikh. His age is 54 years. He drives a rickshaw and lives in Ambujwadi, azad Nagar, Malvani, Malad, Mumbai. He is a resident of Sinodi, PO Chandehat, Tehsil Batoya, Dist. Sadar Noakhali, Bangladesh.

The name of the third accused is Ibrahim Shafiullah Sheikh. His age is 46 years. He sells vegetables and lives in MHADA Colony and Mahul Village. Investigation revealed that his real address is Saheber Haat, Kadirpur, Thana- Begamganj, Dist. Noakhali, Bangladesh. The fourth accused Farooq Osmangani Sheikh, whose age is 39 years, is a resident of Oshiwara, Jogeshwari (W). According to investigation, he is a resident of Kabir Haat, Moninagar, Dist. Noakhali, Bangladesh.

In this case, ATS has registered a case under Sections 465, 468, 471, 34 of IPC and Section 12 (1A) of indian Passport Act. Investigation revealed that the accused had cast fake votes in the lok sabha elections with the help of fake documents. They were living in mumbai with fake documents. 5 other Bangladeshis have been identified in this case. All are absconding and are being searched.
