CM Eknath Shinde meets shiv sena candidates?

Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on monday night held a meeting with shiv sena candidates who lost the recently concluded lok sabha elections here. Shinde-led shiv sena, a constituent of the ruling Mahayuti alliance, contested 15 lok sabha seats in maharashtra and won seven of them.

A party official said, shiv sena lok sabha candidates who attended the meeting included mumbai MLA yamini Jadhav, rahul Shewale, hemant Godse, Sadashiv Lokhande, Sanjay Mandlik, Baburao Kohlikar and hemant Patil. He said that another losing candidate of the party, Raju Parve, did not attend the meeting as he had to attend the funeral of a relative. The official said that on this occasion Shinde discussed the party's strategy for the assembly elections to be held in maharashtra in October.

A few days ago, cm Eknath Shinde had organized a special lunch and meeting for the elected MPs of shiv sena at the official residence Varsha. On this occasion, chief minister and party chief Eknath Shinde met all the seven MPs and congratulated them and talked to them. Newly elected MPs Shrikant Shinde, naresh Mhaske, Prataprao Jadhav, Sandipan Bhumare, Darishsheel Mane, ravindra Waikar, Shrirang Barne were present at the official residence Varsha.

Shiv Sena has expressed disappointment over not getting any cabinet level post in the new national democratic alliance (NDA) government led by prime minister Narendra Modi. This has come to light when a day earlier Ajit Pawar-led nationalist congress party (NCP) had also demanded a cabinet post and expressed disappointment over its MPs being given the role of minister of State. Chief Whip of the Eknath Shinde-led party Shrirang Barne had said, referring to other nda allies in the new council of ministers, "We were expecting a place in the cabinet."
