Bhavani Shankar, a resident of Tughlaqabad Extension in delhi, was also in this bus. Luckily, his life was saved. shankar cried while telling the story of this incident. He told that when bullets were being fired from the hills, I bent down and hid both my children under the seat of the bus.

Bhawani shankar said that he had gone to visit the vaishno devi temple in Katra on his wedding anniversary on june 6. He said that his wife Radha Devi and 5-year-old daughter Diksha and 3-year-old son Raghav were also with him. shankar and his family members are among the five people from delhi injured in the terrorist attack, who are being treated in hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir. 10 people were killed and 41 others were injured in the firing by terrorists on a 53-seater bus going from Shivkhodi temple to Katra.

The incident took place near Teryath village in Poni area of Reasi on sunday evening. Bhavani Shankar, a passenger in this bus, said, 'On june 6, we boarded the Shri shakti Express from delhi and reached Katra. On june 7, we went to the vaishno devi temple and returned to our hotel room by midnight on june 8.' He said that on june 9, we took a bus from Katra to Shivkhodi temple and bought two tickets worth Rs 250 for the journey.

Firing continued continuously

Shankar said that the bus was attacked while returning from the temple. Our children were in our lap in the bus. We heard the sound of bullets at around six in the evening. More than 20-25 bullets were fired in just 10-15 seconds. A bullet hit our driver and the bus went out of control.' shankar said that the bus spun in the air and later came to its upright position but its wheels got stuck in stones and trees in the hilly area.
