People of haryana will now be able to travel up to one thousand kilometers for free in a year. haryana Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana (Happy Scheme) was created by the state government. On Friday, under this scheme, chief minister Naib Singh saini distributed Happy Cards to the beneficiaries. The chief minister distributed Happy Cards during a state-level program in Karnal. Happy cards were distributed in all the districts of Haryana. Let us tell you that families whose annual income is Rs 1 lakh or less are being given the benefit of this scheme.

Travel of 1 thousand kilometers free in 1 year

CM Naib Singh saini attended the Happy Scheme card distribution program in Karnal as the chief guest. At the same time, ministers and other dignitaries of the state attended the program through video conferencing and cards were distributed to the beneficiaries in programs organized in various districts. It said that the main objective of the scheme is to provide the benefit of free travel up to 1,000 km per year to poor families in haryana State Transport buses. During his address on the occasion, cm saini said that the vision of the government is to empower the poor.

Former cm Khattar had announced the scheme

Let us tell you that on november 2, 2023, during a conference in Karnal, former cm Manohar Lal Khattar had announced the Happy scheme. After this, it was implemented during the budget session of the assembly on february 23, 2024. About 85 lakh people will benefit from this scheme. 59,708 people have already got the cards in the state. These people have availed free travel of 37.88 lakh km. During the program, the chief minister interacted with the beneficiaries of several districts. Happy cards were handed over to 20 beneficiaries in Karnal. All the beneficiaries get smart cards linked to the e-ticketing system, which allows them to travel free of cost. The state government will allocate a budget of about Rs 600 crore for this scheme.
