Hooda lost to Arvind Sharma by just 7 thousand 500 votes. At the same time, in the 2014 elections, Deepender Singh Hooda defeated senior bjp leader Om Prakash Dhankhar. Hooda got 4 lakh 90 thousand and Om Prakash Dhankhar got 3 lakh 19 thousand votes. Hooda defeated Om Prakash Dhankhar by 1 lakh 70 thousand votes.
