Drivers engaged in election work did not get their money?

Though the government spends crores of rupees on the great festival of democracy, there is no account of it. But when it comes to arrangements, the district administration just does a superficial job of making things work and then shrugs off its responsibility. Something similar happened today when drivers engaged in election work blocked the road, troubled by hunger and thirst.

Voting is to be held on june 1, for which more than a thousand vehicles, including small and big vehicles, have been seized for election work. Out of which about four hundred small and big vehicles were parked in the cell built in gandhi Maidan and mela Maidan from the morning of the 29th. As per the rules, immediately after the vehicles are deposited, the log books of all the vehicles are opened and drivers are paid in advance for ration and water.

They blocked the road due to hunger

Despite the log book being open from the morning of 29th to the evening of 30th, the drivers were not paid in advance. Due to which the condition of the drivers was bad due to hunger. According to the drivers, there is no arrangement for drinking water. How much water can we buy and drink in this summer season. We were forced to block the road.

'Everyone has been paid'

But when we talked to the election officer cum Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Qamar in this regard, he said that there is no such thing, no complaint has been received, everyone has been paid. This simply means that either the drivers must be lying or the administrative department is sending a wrong message to the Deputy Commissioner.
