According to the Meteorological Department, after reaching kerala, the monsoon is expected to take about eight to ten days to reach the whole of Maharashtra. This means that it will cover various areas of maharashtra including mumbai in that time period.

The Meteorological Department said, "The temperature in mumbai during summer usually remains between 35 to 36 degree Celsius, which is considered normal. However, due to high humidity levels of 80% to 90%, the temperature can feel like 40 degree Celsius even at 35-36 degree Celsius. Temperatures across maharashtra remain between 38 to 40 degree Celsius."

Weather forecast for the coming days

The IMD's seven-day forecast predicts a slight decrease in the minimum temperature this week. Humid conditions will persist. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 28 degree Celsius on Thursday, while the temperature is expected to be 27 degree Celsius on friday and Saturday. Next week, the temperature is expected to drop further from sunday to tuesday and will be around 26 degree Celsius. The city is likely to remain cloudy or partly cloudy as the monsoon approaches, causing a significant drop in temperature by 4-5 degree Celsius.
