Lok Sabha Elections: What will happen in Maharashtra?

Voting has been done in five phases for 48 lok sabha seats of Maharashtra. Now everyone is waiting for june 4 when the election results will be declared. Before the election results, the ruling and opposition parties are continuously claiming victory. Meanwhile, the prediction of Lokniti-CSDS professor and political analyst Sanjay Kumar has given sleepless nights to the leaders. Talking to news Tak, the CSDS professor has made a shocking prediction about the result of lok sabha elections 2024 in Maharashtra. According to this estimate, BJP's mission of crossing 45 in maharashtra seems to be failing.

Sanjay Kumar's prediction

The professor said that "Despite the confusion in the maharashtra lok sabha elections, the maha Vikas Aghadi seems to be getting an edge in Maharashtra. Congress's performance is better than 2019, while BJP's performance is slightly worse in terms of seats. BJP's allies have decreased compared to 2019, while congress has got more support from regional parties. maha Vikas Aghadi is expected to win 25-26 seats, while Mahayuti can get 21-22 seats out of a total of 48 seats." At the same time, he further said that, compared to the lok sabha elections 2019, this year the grand alliance may have to suffer losses. In the last lok sabha elections, nda had won 41 out of 48 seats.

Who has an alliance with whom?

There are two alliances in Maharashtra. One is Mahayuti and the other is maha Vikas Aghadi. Mahayuti has bjp, Eknath Shinde's shiv sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP. On the other hand, MVA has an alliance of congress, sharad pawar and uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena.

How many seats did nda and MVA contest?

If we talk about Mahayuti, bjp contested on 28 seats. shiv sena (Eknath Shinde faction) contested on 15 seats and Ajit Pawar's ncp contested on 4 seats and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha contested on 1 seat. In Mahavikas Aghadi, shiv sena (Uddhav balasaheb Thackeray) contested on 21 seats. congress contested on 17 seats and Sharad Pawar's ncp contested on 10 seats.
