BRS leader Palla Rajeshwar reddy, who is the MLC of this seat, contested from janagama in the last assembly elections. Succeeded. He resigned from his post as MLC. By-election came here with his resignation. Now Thienmar Mallanna from congress, Gujjala Premender reddy from bjp and Enugala Rakesh reddy from BRS are in the ring. The congress party is working hard to prove that they have a grip even among the graduates. bjp is thinking that if it gets this seat, it can check the congress and BRS parties. The MLC by-election is generating a lot of heat with the strategies of these three parties. All the three parties are taking this election seriously and campaigning at the same level. They went door to door asking for votes and worked hard to reach the educated people under the names of spiritual congregations and other names.  CM Revanth reddy , Ministers and MLAs of Nalgonda, khammam and warangal districts campaigned extensively on behalf of Tinmar Mallana . On behalf of the BRS candidate, ktr and harish rao made whirlwind tours and appealed to the educated people to make their party's candidate win.
