 Maharashtra, 3 Naxalites including 2 women killed, weapons recovered

Maharashtra Encounter: police officer said that during the search operation, Naxalites fired indiscriminately on the security forces, to which C-60 soldiers responded. Three Naxalites were killed in this. An encounter broke out between security forces and Naxalites in Gadchiroli district of maharashtra on Monday. In this, three Maoists including two female Naxalites were killed. Superintendent of police Neelotpal said that an intelligence was received that some members of Perimilly Dalam were planning to carry out a conspiracy during their 'Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign' (TCOC) period.

The officer said that the Naxalite group was hiding in a forest near Katrangatta village of Bhamragarh taluka to carry out the conspiracy. He said that two units of C-60 commando, a special squad of Gadchiroli police, were immediately sent to the area for search operation.

The officer said that when the teams were conducting a search operation. At the same time, the Naxalites fired indiscriminately at them, to which the C-60 soldiers responded. He said that after the firing stopped, bodies of one male and two female Naxalites were recovered from the spot.

A large number of weapons recovered

The officer said that one of them has been identified as Vasu, who was in charge of Perimilly Dalam and a self-styled commander. He said that an AK-47 rifle, a carbine, an INSAS rifle, Naxalite literature and items were also found at the spot. police said that anti-Naxal operation is going on in the area.  Naxalites operate TCOC from March-June to carry out major attacks on security forces as visibility increases due to reduction in greenery in the forest.
