A 9-month-old female elephant named Bani got injured in a train accident. The elephant injured in the accident has suffered serious injuries. He also lost his mother in this train accident. The treatment of the injured 9-month-old elephant is continuing in the hospital of Wildlife SOS located at agra Mathura data-border. Bani is being treated at Wildlife SOS Elephant Hospital. Due to which, acupuncture experts from thailand and ayurveda experts from kerala are treating the injured elephant, so that she can get relief soon. Experts are doing the treatment using acupuncture instruments. It is reported that this is India's first acupuncture treatment for elephants.

Treatment of injured elephant continues

After the arrival of the injured elephant Bani, special arrangements have been made for care. The help of international medical experts is being taken for the treatment of the paralyzed elephant, which includes orthopedic experts, neuro surgeons, ayurveda and acupuncture experts. Medical treatments include laser therapy, hydrotherapy, acupressure etc.

Doctors called from Thailand

Wildlife SOS has called in renowned veterinary acupuncturist professor Dr. Parkote Rungsri of Chiang Mai university, thailand for the paralyzed elephant Bani. Who is a visiting professor at the university of Florida, USA.

Doctor did the first electro-acupuncture

Dr. Rungashree started with acupuncture techniques followed by a practical demo with the Wildlife SOS team. Under the guidance of Dr. Rungashree, the veterinary team of Wildlife SOS performed Bani's first electro-acupuncture. Dr. Ilya Raja, Deputy director of Wildlife SOS, said that we are using electro-acupuncture therapy as a comprehensive veterinary care program to suit Bani's specific condition. Electro-acupuncture therapy combines tradition and science to balance and recirculate the body's energetic pathways using controlled electrical stimulation.
