 Congress seeks time to meet governor, claims majority

Haryana Political Crisis: Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that Naib saini government is in minority. He should resign on moral grounds. He has sought time to meet governor Bandaru Dattatreya.

Turmoil has started once again in haryana politics. Clouds of crisis are looming after three independent MLAs withdrew support from the Naib Singh saini government. Former cm and congress leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that the bjp government is in minority, cm saini should resign on moral grounds. Hooda claimed that he has the majority and he is ready to parade all the MLAs.

Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that the minority Naib saini government should resign on moral grounds. congress has written a letter to governor Bandaru Dattatreya seeking time to meet him. The letter said that a congress delegation led by Deputy leader of congress Legislature party Aftab ahmed and Chief Whip BB Batra and other party leaders want to meet the governor on May 10.

Let us tell you that three independent MLAs withdrew their support from the Naib Singh Saini-led government in the state on Tuesday, after which the opposition parties claimed that this has put the government in minority in the state assembly. However, chief minister Naib Singh saini has said that his government is not in trouble.

Earlier, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala had written a letter to governor Bandaru Dattatreya demanding an immediate floor test. When asked to comment on JJP writing a letter to the governor, Hooda said, 'We have also sought time from the Governor.' He said that we have 30 MLAs. Regarding JJP, it would have been better if they had paraded 10 MLAs in front of the Governor.'

'We will parade the MLAs'

Counting the number of MLAs, Hooda said that there are 30 MLAs, 10 from JJP and 3 independents. Along with this, Balraj Kundu and Abhay Chautala together have the support of 45 MLAs. They can parade their MLAs whenever they want.

How many MLAs are needed to form the government?

There are currently 88 MLAs in the 90-member haryana Assembly. Two seats are vacant. bjp has 40 MLAs, congress has 30 and JJP has 10 MLAs. indian National Lok Dal and haryana Lokhit party have one member each. While there are six independents. At present, 45 MLAs are needed to form the government.
