Voting will be held again at four polling booths of Betul, Madhya Pradesh. Voting will take place here on May 10. EVMs were burnt due to fire in the polling party bus. After this it has been decided to hold voting again. According to the district election Officer, voting will be held on May 10 at four polling booths of Betul lok sabha seat. Let us tell you that yesterday i.e. on tuesday, counting of votes took place at six centres, in which the machines of four centers were burnt to ashes in the bus.

After this, the district election had sought guidance from the election Commission. The parties will leave tomorrow for the May 10 voting. Preparations for this have been completed. Due to this, liquor shops within a radius of three kilometers will remain closed.

According to a senior official, a bus carrying polling officials and electronic voting machines caught fire in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, damaging some EVMs. However, Betul collector Narendra Suryavanshi said that no polling employee and bus driver were injured in this incident.

He told that this incident of fire happened near Gola village of the district at around 11 pm on tuesday night. collector said that the fire broke out due to spark in the bus, but no one was injured in the incident. He said that EVMs of four polling stations were damaged in the fire, including booth numbers 275, 276, 277, 278, 279. And 280 are included.

The collector said that the fire brigade extinguished the fire due to which the bus was completely burnt to ashes. Suryavanshi said that at the time of the incident, there were six polling parties and equal number of EVMs in the bus, out of which four EVMs were damaged, while two others were safe. He said that out of the four affected EVMs, one control unit was damaged in the fire. When asked whether this incident will affect the counting of votes recorded in EVMs? On this, the collector said that he will send his report on this issue to the election commission and the election commission will take a decision regarding re-polling at the affected booths. An election official said that a total of 72.65 percent voting was recorded in Betul lok sabha seat.
